My creative outlet

I woke up this morning and said to myself: "You need to accomplish something creative today." I have quilts-in-progress all over our guest room, but none was speaking to me. So, inspired by my aunt Colleen (who gave me a cool purse that has been receiving compliments all week), I made myself this:





It's a tissue holder for Puffs Pocket Packs.

I'm sure some of you are running scared right now. :) No, I have no intentions of making crocheted covers for our toilet paper holders or anything odd like that. I just wanted a quick and creative sewing project and this fit the bill. It's roughly based on a tutorial I found here.

Colleen made me another one, but it only holds the small size tissues - and I had the bigger packs at home. I messed up the directions (cut the fabric too big) but I think it still turned out pretty well.

I think I'll put it into my purse tonight before we go out to see U23D - me for the third time!
